Week 12.0 Analyze indicators of Malicious activities – II

Overview

Students will explore a wide range of Network Attacks, covering everything from basic probing to advanced exploitation. Special focus is given to Denial-of-Service (DoS) and Distributed Denial-of-Service (DDoS) attacks, which overwhelm services to disrupt operations.

The module also examines On-Path Attacks, where attackers position themselves between communicating parties to intercept, modify, or redirect traffic. This leads into Domain Name System (DNS) Attacks.

Wireless threats are also explored under Wireless Attacks. Learners study targeted Password Attacks, including brute force, dictionary and spraying. This includes Credential Replay Attacks, where stolen credentials are reused to impersonate legitimate users.
