Week 3.0 Networking II

Overview

Students will learn about network security and pillars in this module, beginning with common ports and services and their functions in communication. They will explore networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls, and understand how these devices support and protect networks. Students will gain knowledge of network reconnaissance techniques used to gather information about systems and network analysis methods for monitoring traffic and identifying anomalies. Finally, they will study network attacks, including their methods, indicators, and mitigation strategies, to understand how threats exploit networks and how to defend against them effectively.
